International Women´s Day at the Department of Gender Studies

Welcome to Department of Gender Studies’ International Women’s Day celebration 2023, listen to inspiring lectures on Solidarity, hope and social change and participate in a creative workshop to create an visual representation of gender studies.
An afternoon at the Department of Gender Studies with panel discussions, creative workshop and mingle with a bell hooks reading, “tipspromenad” and cake in celebration of the International Women´s Day. Short lectures and conversations on inclusive and diverse feminist organizing across borders. Lectures by Jens Rydström, professor at the Department of Gender Studies, Abigail Booth, Regional Manager of South Caucasus and Ukraine, Kvinna till Kvinna and Barbora Majdisova, Project Director, RFSL Newcomers. Introduction by Pro Vice-Chancellor, Jimmie Kristensson and Head of Department, Rebecca Selberg.
We invite you to participate in a creative workshop to create a visual representation of gender studies with Postdoc Sara Kauko. Canvas, paint and brushes will be provided to “Leave your mark”!
