I am a visiting PhD student at the Department of Gender Studies within the Swedish Institute (SI) Visby Programme. I have an MA in International Relations and History of East-Central Europe from Collegium Civitas, Warsaw, Poland, and West Virginia University, Morgentown, US and currently I am a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy, and International Relations at the Central European University, Budapest, Hugary. In my PhD project I look closely at the practical an theoretical projects proposed by activists (non-state, non-humanitarian agents) supporting migrants in chosen European Union countries, namely Denmark, Sweden, and Hungary. My research interests include migration, practices and discourses on othness and sameness, radical political activism. I situate my work at the intersection of International Political Sociology, Gender Studies, and Critical Migration Studies.
