Niklas Altermark is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Political Science, Lund University. His dissertation will be published in May 2016, entitled After Inclusion: Intellectual Disability as Bio-Politics.

This presentation focuses on how discourses of ’bioethics’ surrounding pre-natal diagnosis - targeting conditions associated with intellectual disability - works to de-politicize technologies of steering the composition of the population.
